Work Wish List

If the other ways to help PCMDC do not fancy you, perhaps getting your hands dirty would! Our building was recently approved to be listed on the National Register of Historic Places. This is a tremendous honor! However, this means it can be quite overwhelming for us to maintain the building due to its age and size. There are always things that can be done inside and outside of the building but also around our grounds. We could use your help to keep PCMDC safe and comfortable for our staff, volunteers, and OF COURSE the children! Below are some of our current needs. If you have abilities or resources that you don’t see below, don’t be afraid to call Lin or Tausha and talk about it. Thank you!

Repaint Orange room
  Whole room needs work – including ceiling work scrape and repaint in spots
*The task does have a group signed up, but we could ALWAYS use volunteers!
Gardening
  Assorted gardening projects
Ask about availability
Playground
  General maintenance on current structures and build “water tower”
Bulletin Boards
  Sand, prime, and paint bulletin board and trim
Paint All Outside Doors
  Sand, prime, and paint all the doors that lead to the outdoors

Repaint All Inside Doors
  Sand and paint classroom, office, and bathroom doors and frames.

Kitchen Faucet
  Change to tall crooked faucet with commercial spray nozzle
Back kitchen door
Odd-size door needs replaced ASAP with under door sweeps
Building Shelves
  Shelves need to be built in the blue classroom inside the outer most cabinets.
Custom Bookshelf
Both the green classroom needs sturdy shelving for books and games. Because of limited space, these will need to be custom built to size.
Mount Chalkboard
  Mount chalkboard between back shelves orange room

Yellow Classroom Faucet
  Install household style faucet in classroom sink.
